Kirsten J. Peters is a seasoned federal trial attorney specializing in civil rights and employment discrimination litigation, as well as complex investigations. ​With extensive experience at the U.S. Department of Labor and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), she has successfully litigated cases involving race, sex, age, and disability discrimination, among others, and has led systemic investigations into discriminatory practices. 

 

Ms. Peters holds a Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Political Science from Wisconsin Lutheran College. She is admitted to practice law in New York and Illinois and is actively involved in professional organizations, including as a current member of the New York City Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Law Committee.

 

While Ms. Peters grew up in a small town in southeastern Wisconsin, after more than ten years in New York City, the East Coast is now home. Ms. Peters’ interests are varied and include strength training and cooking, as well as an occasional flamenco lesson or game of tennis. The proud auntie of one niece and three nephews, Ms. Peters is always keen to hop on a flight to visit. Ms. Peters is a bilingual Spanish speaker and can also carry on a conversation in German when the opportunity arises.
